Children have a fundamental right to be loved and raised by both their biological mother and father. In family structures and public policy, adults must adopt a posture of sacrifice to protect this right, rather than forcing children to sacrifice their well-being to accommodate adult desires.

Exodus 20:12

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them.

Ephesians 6:1-4

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
