American society has transitioned from a positive view of Christianity to a negative one where elite culture is openly hostile to Christian beliefs. To navigate this negative world, the church must shift its focus from trying to transform or stay relevant to the secular culture. Instead, believers must build a resilient counter-culture. This involves focusing on internal holiness, church unity, and independent institutional strength, much like the early church did under the Roman Empire.

Romans 13:7

Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13

What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”
